WCBA 9th Blue guard Scott Martin was named a standout player at the Phenom Hoop Report Grassroots TOC over the weekend.

Martin, a freshman at Leesville Road High School, had two big games offensively, including a 23-point performance against Team Felton in the final pool play game of the tournament. Martin hit eight field goals in the game against Team Felton.

Against North Carolina ICE in pool play, Martin scored 14 points on six made field goals.

Martin was held to seven points against the Charlotte Nets and two points against Boo Williams EYBL.

A solid lead guard who gets the ball where it needs to go when it
needs to get there. Showed that he’s capable of handling pressure
and running an offense. He does a great job of getting his team into
sets and making others around him look good.

Martin and WCBA 9th Blue return to action this weekend at the Big Shots Team Loaded tournament in Richmond, Va.
