The new website provides more features, including mobile app

The Wake County Basketball Association launched a new website on Wednesday that will provide more features for WCBA participants in both the AAU program and the recreation league.

AAU teams will begin using the new website immediately, while the recreation league will move to the new website after the conclusion of the current season. Information about the recreation league is already available on the new website though.

The website, which is powered by Sports Engine, will allow every team to have their own page, complete with practice/event schedules, game schedules, game results, player and team statistics, rosters, photos, videos and more. Coaches will be able to manage their own team pages and update results from their phones during tournaments.

Players and parents can download the Sports Engine mobile app and follow their teams straight from their phones. When new events are added to the schedule, results are posted, and other information is available for their specific team, the players and parents will receive a notification.  Coaches can contact their entire team at once through the new tool as well.

The website is also accessible on all mobile browsers.

Other features that are included on the new website include the ability for parents to pay registration fees and submit paperwork online, a WCBA digital trophy case, year-by-year alumni listing, a league-wide calendar, and more.

Sports Engine provides more information on the features provided to parents in the Parent Portal.
