Ryan Shaffer was named MVP of the Big Shots Top 100 Camp

Ryan Shaffer earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Big Shots Top 100 Camp earlier this month, and on Tuesday, Big Shots said the senior is one of the top available players in North Carolina's Class of 2018.

"When a player is a three-time MVP on the Big Shots Circuit like Ryan Shaffer was for WCBA, you can flat out play," wrote Kevin Schneider of Big Shots.

According to Schneider, a college coach attending the Top 100 Camp said, "Am I missing something? Because Ryan Shaffer is really good."

"That coach was spot," Schneider wrote. "Standing at 6-foot-5 with a springy step, no-dip quick-trigger, he put on a show at Big Shots NC Top 100 once again. High basketball IQ, plays fast, scores coming off screens or off the dribble. Finishes above the rim and through contact."

Schneider said Shaffer is a Division I level player and one of the top 40 players from North Carolina.

Playing for WCBA 11th Blue during 2017, Shaffer averaged over 16 points per game and shot better than 56% from the floor. He will be a team captain this season for the Green Hope High School boys basketball team.
